フィリピン給水施設新整備

近年フィリピンを巡る給水問題ですが、新水管理施設を導入する予定となりました。

水を巡る問題は大きく、湖の水を浄化して利用しようなんて話題まで上がっていたほど。
日本のような安全な飲み水などが蛇口を捻れば出るようになっている国はとても少なく、フィリピンも水に悩む国の一つでした。

しかしここにきて、ウイルス等による感染拡大防止の策の一つとして整備がされることに。

私達がフィリピンに行けるようになった時には安心して蛇口から飲めるようになっているのかもしれません。

DPWH: P2.3-billion water supply facilities underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to implement P2.34 billion worth of water management facilities this year in a bid to address water supply problems.

Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said 476 projects will be implemented.

This includes the construction or rehabilitation of water distribution/supply systems, rainwater collectors, multipurpose buildings for local water districts, and water tanks for local government units (LGUs).

“Part of our budget this year is allocated for the construction and rehabilitation of local water supply systems in our effort to address water shortage and provide safe and accessible water across the country,” Villar said.
